ABOUT DONNIE
Donnie wasn't a troubled child, however, he did face some troubling times during his childhood. He suffered the unimaginable loss of his father at the tender age of 9 to gun violence. He was then forced to be raised in an all-to-common single black mother household along with his 3 siblings. The loss of his father aroused his independent decision making which caused people to label Donnie as nothing more than a Misfit.
After learning from troubled past mistakes, he developed better habits to overcome the adversity he faced. Donnie made a conscious decision to turn the narrative that is life into a concerted effort to instill those same habits into young men and women in Atlanta. His active journey of motivating and inspiring his community led him to write his very own inspirational self-help book and start a mentorship program entitled-Misfit Turned Mogul.
Donnie is an honorable man of God and very big on faith and his spirituality. In addition to being an accomplished author, Donnie is an avid admirer of art often listing the late great Jean-Michel Basquiat as one of his biggest inspirations.
